Arboretum Of The Chemin de La Découverte : Created in 1987 on two former railway lines the ”Chemin de la Découverte”(”Discovery path”) is a 6 kms long arboretum which goes around the town of Melle. Offering a real ”learning experience”, this path goes throngh woodland and parts of the town and has a collection of more than 1200 trees from all over the world and over 230 varieties of roses as well as an areda dedicated to trees remarkable for their bark. this path goes past several monuments such as Romanesque Cherches, washing places, precious vestiges of our heritage.
