Arboretum Of the Great Heather (Arboretum des Grandes Bruyères in french) is located in the heart of Orléans’s Forest, between Pithiviers and Fay-aux-Loges. There is an extraordinary haven of peace, where multiple species of different origins live together in harmony.
In order to preserve the natural equilibrium, no chimical substance has ever been used here. A park with beautiful lawn pathways wearing resonant names, and underwood gardens where ancient roses, magnolias, dogwoods, exotic oaks, conifers... The arboretums, an Asian and an American one, are organized according ot the geographic origine of the species. A kitchen garden, a maze, some ponds... highlight the visit to this Eden.
Officially classified as one of France’s “Jardin Remarquable” (remarkable gardens) for more than ten years, it’s a delightful place to relax.
