Park and Garden Of the Abregement : After the park’s destruction by a storm, the artists Andy Goldsworthy, Antony Gormley, Christian Lapie and Joel Shapiro made creative use of bent wood, oak and sequoia trunks and other kinds of storm-beaten wood and created their imaginative sculptures.
At the edge of the forest, one corner of the park is dedicated to La Querceraie, where a young collection of oaks has been planted. It contains more than 170 varieties, among them 118 species and 20 hybrids.
The kitchen garden is sheltered by a stone wall and contains a calabash pergola, a multitude of flowers and a brook.
