The Botanical Garden of the city of Lyon, situated since 1857 in the heart of the Park de la Tête d'Or, is rich of 13500 taxons. A walk through the 8 ha, among which 5650 m2 of greenhouses (scheduled as an ancient monument, the large greenhouses are the France upper structure with 69 ft ), will allow the visitor to discover a vast sample of the world flora (more than 1600 rock- species, 2500 species in botanical school, 1200 Orchids taxons, 600 Begonia, 1300 succulents, 600 Peonies (France National Collection) and still many more...
