The ”Rocher des Doms” is a huge calcarus block overhanging Avignon. It was the cradle of the city.
First planting began near 1842 and the garden became a very frequented walking.
Now the garden takes up 29 000 m2. During your walking, you can see a pretty ornemental lake where swans, ducks, gooses and carps peacefully swim. You can notice a big sundail too, visitors take place the gnomon and get the time.
From the terrace you discover the most different and imposing landscape spirited and illustrated by the speedy and glorious river called Rhône.
